September Dream™ Release Notes
Smarter search
Global search now helps you get back to work faster. It opens with your recent pages and recent searches before you even type, surfaces suggestions as you go, and adds quick links for common actions like creating a ticket or finding a customer. Results are grouped and iconed by type, and you can search by student ID, asset tag, GAC tag, or serial number, with an expandable view when you need to see more.
New API pricing
Dream's API access has moved from a flat $5,000 fee to a 3-tier model that's easier to get started with:
- Developer — free, up to 500 calls/month
- Professional — $199/month, up to 25,000 calls/month
- Enterprise — custom pricing, contact sales
Bulk Update People in One Go
Admins can now update Role, Status, Building, or Help Desk Agent and Support Access permissions for multiple people at once instead of editing each record one at a time. Just select the people you want to change, pick a field, and Dream applies the update across your whole selection.
Repairs ship smarter
Repairs now ship in full boxes instead of going out one at a time, cutting down on partial shipments and total outbound shipping volume. Behind the scenes, we've also hardened the repair and ticket workflow, fixing sync issues with NetSuite, tightening up mandatory fields and permissions, and adding support for ticketing on non-device assets like charging carts.
A real calendar for pickups
Managing shipment pickups now happens in a dedicated calendar. You can see and manage pickups directly, and school or building closures automatically pause shipments so nothing goes out when no one's there to receive it. Pickup scheduling with FedEx has been rebuilt for more reliability, with clearer notifications any time something changes.
Clearer language
We've updated terminology across Dream to be clearer and less education-specific:
- Users refers only to people who log in and operate Dream.
- People refers to record-only entries, like students, parents, or other non-Dream staff, tracked for assignment purposes but who don't access Dream directly.
- Other terms have also been updated for clarity, including District → Organization, School → Location, Classroom → Room.
Parts inventory, in one place
New tools let your team assign incoming parts directly to buildings, track assignment history, and manage pending inventory receipt all in Dream, replacing the manual, disconnected steps this used to take.
